PRESALE PINS
PIN PRODUCTION PROCESS
For group preorders, pins are put into production as soon as they are presold. Patreon subscription rewards are put into production the 1st of the month they are associated with. Patreon preorders are put into production as soon as their two week preorder window closes.
Proofing is a part of the production process and starts the first business day after the presale. The speed of proofing varies by manufacturer and design complexity. On average, my pins go through 3-5 proof revisions before they’re approved.
We do not share proofs PUBLICLY until the first pin update. Proofs will be shared IN GROUP only up to this point. This is primarily because manufactures art color's do not always match the actual pantones, even if the pantones are coded properly. We would prefer the pin to speak for itself in this regards.
GROUP FORMATION
Nyxxipins will no longer be forming groups for her pin series. All pins beyond those that are already in production will be offered IN HAND ONLY. Once this change is implemented, anyone who is currently (August 14, 2023) a member of a Nyxxi group will be given a unique code that will give them priority access to in hand drops.
Exclusive pins will continue to be available through the discord and patreon as well. More information about these two platforms is available on our FAQ page.
GRADING
Each enamel pin is made with love by hand, not mass produced by machines. As a result minor to major errors are bound and expected to happen. Please read below what each category means regarding pin presentation.
A Grade: The pin is as close to flawless as possible. It may contain minor beauty marks that do not hinder its overall aesthetics. This includes but not limited to: light scuffs, dings/dents, pin pricks, dust specks, minor screen print errors, wobbly back posts, wiggling pin on pin, small plating issues on the sides not visible from the front, bent back posts, or scratched backs. Pins with special effects have a higher chance of containing minor issues such as uneven glitter specks, bubbles in the stained glass or glittered areas, and so forth. Essentially, these pins contain minor flaws, but when held at arm's length they are not obviously visible or can only be seen when angled in certain light. A Grades will not contain face flaws and have up to 2 of these aforementioned minor flaws.
B Grade: The pin will have some minor flaws visible to the eye. These include scuff marks that take away from its aesthetics, larger pin pricks, air bubbles in regular hard enamel, under and overfilled enamel, misplaced enamel, screen printed errors, visible plating areas on the front or sides, and anything else mentioned above in standard grading. These pins will have noticeable flaws at arms length. B Grades will have minor face flaws such as small dots, light dust/dirt in the enamel. The amount of flaws will be 1-3 at most.
C Grade: The pin will have major flaws visible to the eye. These include heavily scratched areas, deep pin pricks, missing screen print, missing enamel, wrongly colored enamel, and anything else mentioned in A and B grading. C Grades will have more serious face flaws and will have 3 or more flaws.
